About

Dr. Maurer completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. During his residency he completed a one year fellowship in basic science and clinical research. After residency he did a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, CA where he served as an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Sparks, Los Angeles Galaxy, Anaheim Angels, Anaheim Mighty Ducks and USC athletics.

Dr. Maurer specializes in minimally invasive procedures of the shoulder, elbow and knee and has a special interest in traumatic and degenerative conditions of the shoulder including shoulder replacements for fractures and arthritis.
