About

Christopher Johnson, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County. He provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages and athletic backgrounds, specializing in advanced arthroscopic techniques of the knee and shoulder as well as shoulder arthroplasty.

Dr. Johnson earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. He then completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Johnson furthered his expertise through a Sports Medicine Fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA where he was one of the team physicians for the 2024 NBA Champion Boston Celtics.

Additionally, Dr. Johnson holds a Master of Science in Physiology, which he earned summa cum laude from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. He completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Johnson enjoys watching sports, going to concerts, and spending time with his family.
