About

Nicholas Renaldo, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in the surgical management of adult spine conditions. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in New York, NY. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Northwell Health System/Hofstra and went on to complete a combined orthopedic/neurosurgical fellowship in spinal surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine/New England Baptist Hospital.

Dr. Renaldo utilizes the latest technologies to perform safer and less invasive procedures. He regularly performs minimally-invasive nerve decompressions and spinal fusions which are often accomplished through one inch incisions using tubular retractors and microscopes. He uses intraoperative neuromonitoring and navigated spinal instrumentation with the O-arm, a 2D/3D imaging system. This system ensures accurate implant placement around sensitive body parts. He also regularly performs motion sparing spine surgery such as artificial cervical disc replacement (Mobi-C ), (M6-C ), and Coflex lumbar interlaminar stabilization.

Dr. Renaldo is an active participant in several medical societies, including the North American Spine Society (NASS) and the Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and has published research in leading journals and textbooks.

Dr. Renaldo, his wife and two children reside in Dutchess County. He enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, traveling and playing golf.
