About
Dr. Kaye is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician dedicated to improving pain, restoring function, and enhancing quality of life. He specializes in the nonsurgical, conservative, and holistic management of pain and functional impairments due to musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurologic, and sports-related conditions. Examples include neck, back, and joint pain, sciatica/pinched nerves, osteoarthritis, sprains, strains, tendinitis, bursitis, myofascial pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and peripheral neuropathy. Dr. Kaye uses an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach to care. His treatment plans are individualized for each patient and may include physical or occupational therapy, medications, joint or soft tissue injections, trigger point injections, postural correction, bracing, workplace ergonomics, nutrition guidance, acupuncture, and movement-based therapies. He utilizes musculoskeletal ultrasound to help determine the source of pain and to guide injections with greater precision and safety.
Dr. Kaye places a strong emphasis on patient education, empowering patients to understand their diagnoses and make informed decisions about their care. He has extensive experience treating a wide range of conditions, including spinal stenosis, foot drop, peripheral nerve injuries, degenerative joint disease, and other overuse injuries. His clinical interests include sports medicine, orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation, and comprehensive spine care.
Dr. Kaye is also highly trained in electrodiagnostic testing, including electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies, which are essential tools in diagnosing conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, peripheral neuropathy, and other neuromuscular disorders. Over the course of his career, he has worked in a variety of outpatient settings in New York City, where he has cared for Olympic athletes, marathon runners, martial artists, Broadway performers, dancers, and weekend warriors.
Dr. Kaye earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and received his medical degree from St. George’s University. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Elmhurst Hospital Center and his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
In his free time, Dr. Kaye enjoys spending time with his family, coaching T-ball and little league baseball, and salsa dancing.
